Star Driver ☆ Kagayaki no Takuto☆ [REVIEW]

bwahaha, ternyata ada juga anime jenis pretty cure versi bhisounen, begitu liat anime ini pertama kali gw langsung ketawa tanpa alasan yang jelas, kenapa?, arena sang tokoh utama takuto bisa Henshin ala mahou shoujo (di tambah sprakling all time). langsung saja deh, komentar untuk eps satu nya.

Ep 1 Commentary


FABULOUS.
I see that word is already being overused and misused. I haven't seen OreImo and Yakumo yet, but by far this is the most solid first episode of this season, if a little rushed.Especially the second half where the true FABULOUS content began to shine. Though the first half was kinda refreshing, with some decent introductions,along the foreshadowing of love triangle between Pico Wako x Takuto x Sugata.

Speaking about Takuto himself

>Stays FABULOUS at all times
>Unbelievably hot-blooded and full of energy
>No identifiable character flaws
>Gets a hot girl to fall in love with him at first sight
>First day at new school, all the girls want to do him
>Can break space/time continuum without the stuff the villains need
>Single-handedly fights off a team of experienced mech pilots with a robot he just conjured out of thin air

All he needs is to be actually half-vampire and Takuto will be Gary Stu Ultimate.

This show already went right to the top of my list when I heard it's done by BONES who was producing Eureka Seven, Xamd, and DtB. I always felt that Bones was trying too hard to be Sunrise. This show feels like it wants to be something different and so far this year’s dose of FABULOUS has not disappointed.
If anything it's a lot like Revolutionary Girl Utena, but with mechs. Screw that I mean you cant get wrong with an anime with the hero named as “galactic pretty boy” and every dudes in the show wear skimpy outfit to boot. (´_ゝ｀)
